Moodboard help center

Practical guidance for creating a moodboard, arranging visual references, navigating a large board, reviewing direction, presenting work, and preparing a deliverable.

Open your first board

Get from sign-in to a working canvas without setting up a separate dashboard.

  1. Sign in with Google, then choose Open board from the site header.
  2. On a narrow screen, use Board to return from a panel to the canvas.
  3. Fit board recenters the whole project when content moves out of view.

Create and arrange content

Add the right object, place it spatially, and keep every change reversible.

  1. Open Create, choose a tool, then click the canvas or drag the tool into position.
  2. Select an object to reveal the actions that belong to that object family.
  3. Use Undo and Redo from the board controls or Menu.

Tasks, dates, and context

Turn a visual direction into concrete next actions without leaving the board.

  1. Create a To-do list and press Enter to add another row.
  2. Use a row's metadata controls to set a due date, assignee, labels, or reactions.
  3. Drag rows to reorder them; completed rows can be removed independently.

Search and navigate

Find off-screen content or move between boards without losing your place.

  1. Open Search and type words from a note, task, file, link, or board reference.
  2. Choose a result to reveal it on the canvas.
  3. Use the Board picker to find an existing board or create a new one.

Share and review

Invite the right people while keeping editing and downloads under control.

  1. Open Share and choose the role that matches the review: editor, commenter, or viewer.
  2. Use a protected share link when the board should be viewed outside the workspace.
  3. Comments stay anchored to the board context they discuss.

Start from a template

Apply a current starter layout or reuse a board you have marked as a template.

  1. Open the top-right board menu and choose Templates.
  2. Search the 12 included layouts; choose whether to keep example content.
  3. Apply to the current board. Undo removes that template application in one step.

Review a Board AI plan

Ask for help with board structure, text or a supported selection, then decide which proposed changes belong in your work.

  1. Open Board AI and describe a concrete change, or select relevant content first.
  2. Generate the plan and inspect its proposed steps and placement. Generation can fail or be unavailable; an error does not change the canvas.
  3. Choose Apply after review. Use board Undo and Redo for the applied changes. AI can be wrong, so check its text and assumptions.

Uploads and saving

Add images and files up to 32 MiB each, and let the save state confirm they are ready.

  1. Use Image or File from Create, or drop a supported file on the canvas.
  2. Wait for Saved and Online before sharing a new upload or exporting its source bytes.
  3. If saving is interrupted, keep the board open for reconnection. Export explains when content is not ready instead of silently omitting it.

Present and export

Turn the current board into a clear walkthrough or a portable deliverable.

  1. Present follows the board's visual reading order and keeps editing controls out of the way.
  2. Export the current layout as a visual file or choose a linear text order.
  3. Large media exports are prepared as downloadable files instead of blocking the board.
